The Neurodiversity and Faith Series
One of the best websites that I can point people to when it comes to autism (and neurodiversity) and the church is the Centre for Autism and Theology out of Aberdeen University. They are doing such great work.
I am excited to be working with them in one small way. They have created a Neurodiversity and Faith Series, which is a series of short downloadable booklets on various topics related to neurodiversity. I’m thankful to be a part of their editorial board.
More than that, I am thankful that scholars are making their research available in accessible and relevant ways. These booklets are based on deep research but they present their information in such a way that the average person in our churches can understand.
I have read each of these books (that’s what editors do) and they are exactly the kinds of resources that church leaders need to navigate the complex and confusing world of autism and neurodiversity. I hope that you will check them out.
