Uta Frith, Theory of Mind and Autism
One of the most influential scholars in the area of autism. Part of her research has been in the area of the theory of mind. This video may help you to understand how some people with autism think.
My main criticism of what she says is that she makes some pretty big generalizations about people with autism. I’m sure that what she says reflects her research on autism. But autism is such a wide spectrum that not everyone is exactly the ways she describes.
But then again, science is not possible without generalizations.
There are some theological consequences to theory of mind but I’m not going to get into that here.
