When we think of a war effort, we think of combat troops and the production of equipment. But what about morale?
One of the most beloved English entertainers during the Second World War was Vera Lynn. She had a huge impact on the British war effort by encouraging the troops and improving, what we now call, their mental health.
By the way, this is the same person that Pink Floyd’s Vera is about.
