2015: Year in Review
This year began with me being semi-employed, having been laid off from Faith Today at the end of October. This year was a year in which we really needed to rely on God and God really came through.
Here is a short summary of what 2015 looked like from a ministry context:
- I taught four courses at Emmanuel Bible College. These include New Testament II, Parables of Jesus, Apologetics, Bible Foundations.
- I taught two courses at Tyndale University College. These include Romans and Christian Ethics.
- I served as the padre of the Lorne Scots.
- The paperback version of my book, How to Make Your Church Autism-Friendly was released.
- I led two sessions at the Apologetics Canada conference in Barrie.
- I offered two webinars on the Jesus Myth Theory.
- I spent three months as an adjunct pastor at Toronto Chinese Baptist Church.
- My wife and I went to a pastoral retreat with Kerith retreats.
- I preached the anniversary services at two of my previous churches, Woodford Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Meaford.
- I guest preached at Queensway Baptist Church, Drumbo Baptist Church and Good News Church.
- I had two articles published with ChristianWeek and also became a columnist for their website.
- We moved from Cambridge to St. Catharines, which is our home town.
- I was hired as the senior pastor of Queen Street Baptist Church.
A person is much more than the list of things that they accomplished. At the same time, I am so thankful for the opportunities that came my way. I pray that I would be faithful with whatever God gives me in 2016.
