A Nice Evening With the Kids
Amanda went out with some friends tonight and so it was up to me to take care of the kids. Evenings are not always the best as they are tired and we are tired and this can make things unsettled. I kind of like having Amanda around to help out. But I did my best. When Amanda left the house, I grabbed a gun and shot Justus. Don’t worry, it was a toy gun. We spent the next little bit chasing each other around with toy guns. It was a blast (see what I did there?). As soon as I was tired out, Justus automatically grabbed some blankets and pillows and told me we were going to get comfortable and watch TV. So I cuddled with Justus, Emma and Faith as we watched Batman: Brave and the Bold cartoons. When it was time for bed, I told them to go upstairs. They went to their rooms with no arguments (that never happens!). I tucked them in and they all went right to sleep. It was a stressful day at week, so it was nice to have things go so smoothly. Thank you God!
