Autism and Girls
Autism often presents differently in girls than it it does in boys. However, you most often hear about the boys because they are more likely to have autism. Paddy-Jo Moran talks about this in this post. Her profile for a girl with autism is different from our experience. She is speaking about higher functioning girls. Abby is lower functioning. Her profile would include sudden outbursts of anger and acts of violence. As you can see, there is not one type of person with autism. It is called a spectrum for a reason.
