Christians and Pride Month

My teenage daughter approached me the other day because she had come across something called Operation Pridefall.
I don’t know much about it other than it is a plan to disrupt Pride Month for the LGBTQ community. I don’t know who is behind it but it looks like it will be more bluster than action.
The reason my daughter talked to me is that was she was confused why someone would want to do that. Why try to cause other people such grief?
Again, I don’t understand whose behind Pridefall but I do know that many evangelical Christians are anti-LGBTQ to one degree or another.
How should Christians respond to Pride Month? Some Christians celebrate the LGBTQ community and would want them to have a great time. Others have strong feelings against homosexuality and do not appreciate Pride Month.
I would like to speak specifically to those Christians who believe that sex is only for marriage between a biologically male and female. I happen to be in this camp myself.
However, I really do not care what other people do. It is not my business. If people (gay or straight) want to celebrate Pride, let them. I think a sign of a healthy culture is allowing people freedom of conscience and expression on these issues.
I see absolutely no reason why a Christian should disrupt a Pride celebration. In fact, I think there are biblical reasons not to.
The Golden Rule is “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” I am assuming that Christians wouldn’t want their celebrations disrupted by people critical of Christianity. So we should treat others in the same way.
I believe that people should have the freedom to believe what they want about homosexuality. But that freedom shouldn’t extend to disrupting what other people want to legally do.

yep, that is the golden rule, and it was around for a long time before Christianity. We also have your bible saying that non-christians, and those who don’t follow the laws in your bible deserve death, deserve to be killed, etc. We have your god killing David’s son for david’s actions, an absolute refutation of the golden rule, we have your god killing Uzzah for touching the ark, we have your god allowing satan to kill Job’s family, etc.
it seems your god is all “do as I say and not as I do”.

You believe in this but you ignore so many other of the bible’s declarations. Why is that? Why aren’t you insisting that there be no divorce and that be put into US law too? No working on the sabbath? JC says that *all* of his father’s laws are to be followed, no exceptions. He occasionally interpreted them slightly differently, but never said to ignore them as convenient.
