Churches Joining Together
I pastor in a small village that includes only two churches. We have had a number of opportunities to work together over the past few years.
This summer, we tried something new. While I was on vacation for two weeks, the people of Brookfield Baptist Church joined with Knox United Church.
During the past two weeks, while the minister of Knox and Middle-Stewiacke United Churches was on vacation, they joined with us at Brookfield Baptist Church.
I suspect that it is rather unusual for churches of different denominations to join together. This is not the first time we have done this, but it is the first time we did in this fashion for a number of decades.
I am a big believer in churches working together and I enjoyed having the people from Knox and Middle-Stewiacke with us. I’m thankful that we had this opportunity and that it worked so well.
