Should I Get a Tattoo?
My wife has had a number of tattoos over the years but I have always held off getting a tattoo. There is just something so permanent about it. I am the sort of guy who never wrote in pen or used highlighters in textbooks. If I was feeling really crazy, I might lightly mark a book with a pencil.
However, there is now talk about me getting a tattoo. Our anniversary is coming up in February and my wife has brought up the idea of getting a tattoo on my ring finger. I normally don’t wear my wedding ring because I have been having a skin reaction to it.
What do you think? Should I take the plunge? Should I get inked? Will I stop at one small finger tattoo? What say you?

Got the ring tattoo a few years back and love it. Always sparks some conversation when out and about. I lost my ring in a work accident and the lost the replacement ring due to taking it off all the time to avoid another work accident. Now I never have to worry about losing it or getting it caught on something. Go for it!
Take the plunge. I have Christian tats and they’re great conversation starters. Too many folks have gotten obscene or vulgar tattoos. It’s time to bring more light into the dark world of ink.
I think the Bible has a very clear and simple answer to this question and I don’t think God has changed His mind about it.
Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:28)
Also, Paul said that our body is a temple for God’s Spirit, therefore we should keep it holy. Here a short article about this topic: https://www.faithcatcher.com/what-does-the-bible-say-about-tattoos-and-piercings/
