Good News: A Better Year
As I write my final Good News post for 2024, my focus is not on one specific event but this past year in general. I plan to do a year in review post later but for now, I want to speak in generalities.
Basically, 2024 was a much better year for myself and my family than the previous year. I wouldn’t say that 2024 was “The best year ever!” but was an improvement over what came before it.
I will not go into detail but if you scan through my 2023 Good News posts, you will get hints about the struggles that were experienced. I don’t want to suggest that everything is perfect now, but I am thankful for the positive progress.
It would be very easy for me to look at 2024 and dwell on the areas where I still see problems. And I have my moments when I do that. But I believe it is more helpful to see the improvement that has taken place.
I have no predictions about 2025. I will be setting some goals for 2025 that I will be sharing here. Hopefully those goals will help to improve things. But my main hope is that 2025 will be better than 2024 as 2024 was better than 2023.
I do know that 2025 will be an eventful year as I will be getting some new opportunities. It will be a year of steep learning curves. Seeing how things have worked in 2024 gives me hope for what this new year will bring.
