Good News: Lily
My Good News for this week is that we got a new dog yesterday. She is a Pyrenees named Lily and she is adorable.

If you have been reading my Good News posts for a long time, you might be thinking: “Didn’t you get a new dog last summer, named Boomer?” Yes. Yes we did.
Boomer was an adventure. He was a rescue and we were happy to do that. But he had so much emotional trauma from his previous owners that it was just not working. He was prey-driven and wanted to do more than just play with our cats. We reluctantly had to bring him back after a long try of attempting to make it work.
Lily is a different story. She is only 11 weeks old. While she was rehomed to us, she was only with her previous owners for 10 days and was given up only because of allergies.
We have the opportunity to work with a blank slate. Yes I know that raising a puppy is hard work but at least any mistakes that are made are our mistakes. She can grow up used to our family and used to our cats.
By the way, the cats hate this dog too. However, it is not because of anything Lily has done and is more likely because of their experience with Boomer.
