Good News: Starting a New Year
This past year was very much a transition year. You can read about it here. A lot of things have changed and are about to change.
Most of the time my Good News posts are reflections of something that has just happened. This time, it is the anticipation of things that are about to happen.
I really do not know everything that will happen. What I do know is that our family is moving to Nova Scotia and that Amanda I will be beginning soon as the co-pastors of Brookfield Baptist Church.
I am not go to try and predict what this transition will look like exactly. It is hard for us as at this point, we have not met any of the people from BBC in person. My wife and kids have never even been to Nova Scotia. Much is still a mystery.
But one of the things that keep coming up in conversation is “new beginnings.” We do not have know exactly what the new beginning looks in order to be grateful.
There are many things that are beyond our control but other things are. This will be a time for us to make the best of new opportunities. I have too much life experience to assume everything will be easy. But life doesn’t have to be easy to be good.
