Good News: Virtual Fun
What does a Saturday afternoon look like? For us, this past weekend, it was our teenage son coming downstairs complaining that we haven’t done anything as a family in a while. Our same son, who complained before when we did family activities.
So what did we do? We went to a virtual reality video game place at a local mall. It is something that all the kids love. We booked an hour for the three of them, plus had some time wandering around the mall together.
Not only was it fun, but it was one of the only times lately that felt like pre-pandemic life. Yes, they had to wear masks and show proof of vaccine. It was more the letting go of the ongoing pandemic pressure that seems to consistently push down on us. It felt like the old us.
I actually thought it was money well spent as our family had a pleasant time together.
