Moms are Good News
It is easy to come up with my good news post for this week.
MOMS.
I was definitely blessed with a fantastic mom. Even though she has been gone for six years now, I still think of her all the time. The things that I think of are the little things that she would do to show her love. She was not the type of mom that gave me everything I asked for. Instead, she would do things spontaneously. I would come home to find some army toys or a pile of books that she picked up. She was the one who started taking me to movies (I won’t date myself by telling you which ones). I am so thankful for her.
I am just as thankful for my wife. Our family is far from the easiest family to parent. Just about every complication has been tossed into our life. And yet Amanda does a fantastic job as a mother. I love having fun and goofing off with the kids but when they are hurt or scared, they know who to go to. Daddy hugs are good, but Mommy hugs are the best. If you knew even half the things that Amanda has done for our children, you would be amazed. She will never brag, but I will brag for her. She is the best mom that our family could ever have and I am very proud over.
