Moved to Wasaga Beach!
For the last number of months, we have been wrestling with where we were going to live. Depending on when you asked us, we would have give you a different answer.
Would the family stay in Nova Scotia while I stayed at CFB Borden in Ontario?
Would the family move to Kitchener-Waterloo to be close to Logan and Abby?
Would we live in Angus, where CFB Borden is located?
It ended up that it was none of the above. We actually found ourselves renting a house in Wasaga Beach. It is closet to twenty minutes for me to get to work at the chaplain school. It is less than an hour from Meaford, where we lived for about eight years. It is about a half hour from Barrie where we know a number of people. It is only about two hours from Logan and Abby.
This past week, I flew back to Nova Scotia after teaching for a couple of weeks. Amanda and Faith flew to Ontario to go to her mom’s. Then I drove with Justus and Emma (and Lily the dog) while my brother-in-law Josh drove our U-Haul. We drove across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Quebec, and Ontario.
It was quite the adventure!
Some great people helped us unload the truck and get everything inside. Are we settled? Not even close. Not only are there boxes everywhere but Amanda and Faith (and the cats) are not here yet.
However, we have a place to live after a time of much uncertainty. It is close to my new job (which I am loving!). There is so much yet to do but for what has happened, I am immensely thankful.
