Another Course Done…
You may remember me saying some time ago that I was done all my chaplain courses at the chaplain school. I did not need to take any more.
But since then I have taken a number, and in fact I am just finishing my third course since then. What’s up?
The military looks at training in terms of Developmental Periods, so DP1, DP2, etc. What I did before was DP1 and what I am finishing right now is my DP2. This is partially so I can teach these courses to other chaplains and partially for my own career development.
While it is a lot of work, it is also a lot of fun. I get to make new connections and to renew some existing connections. I am thankful for these experiences.
But I’m looking forward to getting back to teaching…
