Seeing Chaplains Graduate
My job is instructing chaplain candidates at Canadian Forces Chaplain School and Centre. I teach a variety of courses and they are all important.
However, I just finished teaching phase four of the chaplain basic qualification course. This is the last part to get them to the operational function point, the place where they are fully trained military chaplains.
This is the section of the course that includes the graduation ceremony. I have been involved in the training of some of these candidates on numerous phases throughout the year. It was so good to see them graduate.
Seeing the chaplains graduate is a great reminder of why I do what I do. Being able to be a part of their journey is such a great honour. It brings me joy to see them reach this stage and I look forward to interacting with them in the years to come.
