Twenty-Five Years!
It was in St. Catharines, Ontario. I arrived at Central Gospel Temple after a bad snowstorm that made it pretty difficult to get out of my parents’ driveway. I met up with Rev. Tony Sardella, former youth pastor at CGT. I was about to marry Amanda Peschell.
I really had no idea of what life would look like. But here we are twenty-five years later, five children, and experiences beyond our imagination.
I will readily admit that family life has not always been easy. We have had our share of both ups and downs. In many ways our relationship has been shaped by our challenges.
I can say that there is no one else that I would want as my life partner. I respect Amanda as a person more than anyone else I know. She is an incredible wife and mother.
We celebrated by going away for a couple of days. We went to Gravity Luxury Domes, which was such a fun experience. True to our time twenty-five years ago, we arrived during a snowstorm. It was interesting to be in a dome during a severe windstorm!
It was a fun time of hanging out, playing cribbage, and have some heart-to-heart talks. I can say honestly that after this time together, I feel closer to Amanda than ever before.
I am looking forward to the next twenty-five years, although perhaps with a little less excitement.
