Good News: Getting Back to a Rhythm
I enjoy the summer and I appreciate the lighter schedule that it offers. But I am also a creature of routine and I like things to be a certain way.
This past week has been that time of returning to routine. In terms of family, two of our children are back in school as they prepare to finish high school in the next year and a half.
In terms on ministry, I prefer September to August, even though there is more work in the church, because it feels like back to normal. I have started a new preaching series on James and I am looking forward to our programs starting up again.
I was busy with army chaplaincy during the summer, but not so much with my regular units. Now is the time that our training year restarts and I am looking forward to seeing what this year brings.
Even though I know September means that the colder weather is not far away, I am thankful that I can get back to a rhythm of work and home-life.
