The Selling of the Cottage
If you look back on my Good News posts, you will see a number of posts where I talk about our cottage. It was our little slice of heaven. I would usually feel a load off my mind the moment that I pulled into community where the cottage was located.
We bought a cottage because we were living in a house in Nova Scotia that was provided by Brookfield Baptist Church. We did not need to buy a house and so we bought a cottage. And it was enjoyed.
But now we live in Ontario again and we are renting a house in Wasaga Beach. There is no way we would get back to Nova Scotia often enough to make it worth going back. Plus, we want to eventually purchase a home in this area.
Selling this cottage has been an adventure. I won’t go into details but I am thankful that as of today, the cottage is sold. It is bittersweet because we loved the cottage. It helps to know that the people who bought it have fallen in love with it.
House prices are significantly higher here than in Nova Scotia and we do not know when we will buy again. But for now, this first step is Good News.
