Good News: Enjoying the Cottage
While we generally think of summer as the season to spend at the cottage, we actually only bought our cottage at the end of summer. It is still very new to us and it is hard to believe that we have such a place to go.
Between work and school, it can be difficult to find time to go but we did have a chance to go last week. It is a beautiful drive to our cottage and we are loving the fall colours, even if many of the leaves were forcibly removed by Hurricane Fiona.
There is something very peaceful about our cottage. It is neither big nor fancy. It is surrounded by trees and there is an instant feeling of peace and comfort when we arrive.
This is also the first time we have ever had a wood stove. I love the feel of a wood stove but had never had to opportunity to have one. Being together in our warm and cozy cottage is such a blessing.
We are very thankful that we have this cottage and we look forward to many years of making memories.
